Laminectomy

The surgical removal of the posterior arch of a vertebra.

Larynx

Structure located between the pharynx and trachea that houses the vocal cords.

Lateral

Pertaining to the side of the body.

Lumbar

The lower portion of the spine that consists of 5 vertebrae.
